Silver Strand Campout Weekend - Aug 20th & 21st

Ready for a fun filled weekend? BSA Troop 2001 is heading off to the Silver Strand Beach Park on August 20th & 21st. Events planned for this weekend includes;

Scout participants must have confirmed no later than Monday, August 1st for registration. Fee's for the Kayak/Sail is $16 and it includes lessons and equipment from Southwestern College.

Directions
The beach is located 4.5 miles south of the city of Coronado on Highway 75. The park is located on the sand-spit that forms the outer edge of San Diego Bay between Coronado and Imperial Beach.

The entrance to the park is from Highway 75, which serves as a divider between the ocean side of the park and the bay side. For a map, click here

 

Information on Silver Strand:
Silver Strand State Beach features extensive beaches on both the Pacific Ocean and San Diego Bay.

Combined with the area’s mild climate, the beaches make Silver Strand one of the area’s finest recreation destinations.

Camping, swimming, surfing, boating, water-skiing, volleyball, and picnicking are popular activities. Anglers can fish for perch, corbina, grunion and yellow-fin croaker.
